In an area with a normal, average temperature, with little (sun-)light, properly sealed balloons will usually remain filled for a number of weeks. The biggest enemies of natural-latex balloons are heat and direct sunlight. On warm summer days, balloons that are hung outside will fade color and pop more quickly.
All balloons are filled by us prior to printing and are therefore quality tested. This way we can filter out all the balloons that have small leaks or holes in our printing departement before printing, ensuring that the completed order that reaches your doorstep is of the highest possible quality. Heliumgas is a natural nobelgas, and is nonflammable, non-explosive and nontoxic and is a part of our atmosphere. Licensed gasdepots will gladly be of assistence in supplying heliumgas. A typical commercial system consists of a helium cylinder, shut-off valve, pressure flow regulator, and tilt valve with balloon adapter in order to simplify balloon filling. Helium is fleeting which means helium filled balloons will not remain filled as long as air filled balloons. Typically the life span of a helium filled balloon is 8 to 12 hours, depends of the balloon size.
Giant balloons have a comparatively larger capacity than regular balloons and so they will float much longer. In any case, it is advisable to fill the balloons as shortly as possible before your event. When you would fill your balloons with helium today, they would no longer float tomorrow! Keep in mind, however, that the longlivity of helium balloons have nothing to do with the quality of the balloons.
ADVICE: We recommend a minimum size of 80/90 for balloons that will be filled with helium. Before you will fill the balloons with helium you should blow them up with "normal" air, so the balloons will be stretched already. The advantage of this is that the balloons can be filled 10% bigger with helium, that the balloons can float longer and you won't spill any helium if there accidentally is a damaged balloon.
